German Lessons for Teens

German Lessons for Teens

Our German courses for teenagers are designed for students in secondary school who want to learn German in an interactive yet methodical manner.

Students will use a different book series based on their age, whether they are 10 to 12 years old or 13 to 16 years old. If students have prior knowledge of the German language, they will use the book series’ intermediate level.

Our expert, native, and qualified German teachers will guide each student through the language acquisition process while introducing them to the German culture. Teachers can ensure students fully understand every concept because lessons are private.

Our immersion method will also prepare students to take Hong Kong’s most common exams. More information about German exams can be found here.

After many years of teaching, we have discovered that a private or semi-private class is the most effective and efficient way to learn German. Learning a new language necessitates a great deal of practice and interaction. Only by simulating real-life situations and encouraging students to listen, speak, and interact will they master a language. That is why we only teach in private or semi-private settings. This way, we can ensure the quality of our lessons and ensure that each student is making adequate progress.

In the first stage, those who have never learned German before will learn the fundamentals of the language, with a focus on listening, speaking, reading, writing, and basic grammar. Self-introduction, the family, describing people, the school, the house (including rooms and objects at home), the neighbourhood (including various shops and places), time, hobbies, daily routine, and food are some of the contents for beginners.

A teenager will need around 100 hours to complete the entire A1 level (divided into smaller sublevels A1.1, A1.2, A.1.3, and A.1.4).

The material we teach is based on what is required to pass official German exams. As a result, after completing our course, you will be confident in your ability to qualify for and pass your desired exam.  If you do not want to take an exam at this point, you can still advance to the intermediate level, where you will continue to improve your skills.

At the intermediate level, you will learn about new topics such as maintaining a healthy lifestyle, shopping, and how to express yourself in all tenses, including various types of past, future, and conditional.

Students in our private online one-to-one lessons are individually supervised by their assigned teacher. This method enables students to progress quickly and confidently while receiving all of the attention they require. In addition, the teacher can target specific student weaknesses and foster the continuous positive interaction required for effective language learning.

If you have specific requirements (for example, your child needs to complete a specific school syllabus at a specific time), please contact us and let us know.
